“Good Karma” or “Not so good karma“…. whatever the case be; we need $$ to survive, to get education, to buy a house… and what not!!
As grown ups, we all have our plans and wish lists. Interestingly, kids of the modern era also have their plans. One fine evening, my seven year old son asked me, “Mom, how to earn $dollars$?”. I gave a deep thought for a moment on how to answer this question. I went ahead and said, “To earn, you first need to complete fifteen years of education“. I know that this isn’t mandatory but for a young child I assumed that this answer may suffice. But, I was wrong.
My son looked at me again with full of excitement and attacked me with his next question, “So, do I get a job after all the education?“. I knew this will come, as kids are so curious. I said, “That depends on what you plan and master. But yes… if you study well with concentration, then of course you will land in a good job and earn well“. I assume many parents reading this article may have a similar answer for their kids 🙂 Anyways.. the $$ conversation had just begun…….and the real question was about to come up!!
My kiddo stepped up and popped with another question, a very interesting question this time, “So, Mom… the moment I join a company.. do I get my salary in cents or dollars, because I need dollars only?” 🙂 Hahahaaaaaa.. 🙂 This was height of innocence … I couldn’t control myself laughing and said, “No matter what you earn son… it will be your hard earned money, so value it!!“. And before he could ask anything else, I said, “And yes….I can help you .. In case you get cents, give it to me … I will give you the $dollars$” 🙂 Not sure he got my point or not… but with a satisfied and a smiling face, he hurried towards the lawn to play with his elder brother!!
That was my $$ story , what’s yours??
Such a cute story… Why cant we keep our innocence intact while growing up..
Incredible love and care❤️
